ABUJA, NIGERIA — August 23, 2026 — The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications and Spokesperson to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Dr. Sunday Dare, CON, has highlighted the remarkable transformation of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, as a flagship achievement of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The renovation, rehabilitation and strengthening of the MMIA is one of more than 4,000 projects so far captured under the Renewed Hope Project—a transparent, people-focused infrastructure drive being delivered by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government without manipulation, distortion or political backlash.
Speaking on the project, Dr. Sunday Dare described the airport transformation as visible, verifiable proof that President Tinubu is rebuilding Nigeria with genuine responsibility and a result-driven framework.
“God, see what President Tinubu is doing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport! Look at this world-class transformation. This is the kind of development that makes you say, ‘This is indeed a New Nigeria!’” Dr. Dare said.
He stressed that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not about empty promises. Instead, it is a deliberate campaign of genuine work, bringing the real achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the attention of every Nigerian.
“Despite the noise of the political season, we are campaigning with genuine work, genuine responsibility and a genuine framework. Nigerians are now seeing the actual projects and the actual performance of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The APC has done a lot for this nation, and it is still doing well,” Dr. Dare added.
The MMIA transformation includes the modernization of passenger terminal facilities, structural rehabilitation, upgraded safety and security systems, improved airside and landside infrastructure, and an overall passenger experience that meets international aviation standards.
