The Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, has mobilised thousands of grassroots women in Kwara South Senatorial District in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.
The mobilisation, held in Offa, the headquarters of Kwara South, is part of an ongoing nationwide community activation exercise targeting 176,846 communities ahead of the 2027 general elections. The event was coordinated by Edu’s Honorary Assistant, Hon. Taiye Mutiat Omotosho, who addressed the women on behalf of the APC women mobilisation director.
Omotosho said the women had been mobilised to work for the re-election of Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections. She said the group would commence door-to-door canvassing and grassroots mobilisation once it receives approval from Edu. “I mobilised these thousands of women you are seeing here today on the directive of my boss and Director of Women Mobilisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, for the re-election and continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in office till 2031,” she said. Omotosho added that Edu would personally visit the district to engage the women and present the message of the administration’s Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda. “Dr Betta asked me to inform you that she is coming in person to address you and bring the message of Renewed Hope 2.0 of Mr President and his beautiful, hardworking wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to you all,” she said. She described the women as fully committed to the APC’s 2027 campaign, saying they were prepared to work for the return of Tinubu to the presidency.
The women responded enthusiastically, reaffirming their support for Tinubu and the APC and pledging to take the mobilisation campaign to communities, wards and polling units across Kwara South. They also expressed their readiness to engage other women through door-to-door campaigns, saying women would play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the 2027 presidential election. Omotosho thanked the women for their turnout and urged them to maintain unity and sustain their grassroots mobilisation efforts. She described the gathering as the beginning of a broader effort to strengthen the APC women’s structure across Kwara State and other parts of the country ahead of the 2027 elections.
