Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to Austria and the international organisations in Vienna, has formally presented her credentials to key United Nations offices in Vienna, marking an important step in her diplomatic assignment.
The presentation of credentials covers Nigeria’s representation before the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as well as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Her engagement with these institutions places her at the centre of Nigeria’s diplomatic representation on a range of international issues addressed by Vienna-based organisations.
As Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Dr. Ajimobi’s mandate extends beyond multilateral diplomacy. She is also responsible for strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations with the Austrian government and advancing cooperation between both countries across areas of mutual interest.
Her posting therefore combines two important diplomatic responsibilities: representing Nigeria’s interests in its bilateral relationship with Austria and serving as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to major international organisations headquartered in Vienna. Her presentation of credentials signals the formal commencement of this wider diplomatic engagement and provides a platform for deepening Nigeria’s participation in multilateral affairs in Vienna.
